Welcome to Loretta Miree aka L. Boogie's World
Loretta Miree aka L. Boogie is simply a strong black sistah from the mean streets of North Philadelphia. She is one of the few roses that grew in between the cracks in that neighborhood.
She held the job of a Financial SPecialist for over 20 years with the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation and even though she mastered her job, she always knew she had a higher calling.......
Loretta was hospitalized for a Mental Breakdown, which she now refers to as a Mental Breakthrough. According to her, that's when she decided to take her life back. Loretta said she was unaware of any writing ability that she possessed until a friend of hers, a Mr. Michael Ta'Bon aka XXX-Con, told her to pick up her pen and make it scream. He said, "All of the feelings and emotions that you are experiencing, i want you to make me feel them too." Loretta says her pen hasn't stop screaming yet and an author was born.
Loretta believes that when you are going through the great storms of life, you have the option of sitting ans soaking in uour misery, or you can take the situations and use it to benefit others.
Loretta is the proud author of "The Womb of Man" Poetry Collection. In her book she has taken some of her very own life experiences and some of others and poetically and strategically challenges women to reach deep within themselves and to the Power of God to find solutions to the many problems that women face on an everyday basis. Her poetry teaches women about self-love, self-respect, forgiveness and the Power of God.
Loretta's heartfeld poetry, unique style, combined with her powerful delivery has captured audiences yound and old. She says her mission is to uplift, enlighten and empower women all accross the globe while giving me a glimpse into the journey of a women.
Her friend and mentor Michael Ta'Bon describes Loretta's poetry as such;
"L. Boogie does to poetry what Mary J. Blige and Keyshia Cole do to music today--- she makes you feel it..."
